If you want to create play dough, but don't want the mess afterward, try
creating edible play dough. Your child can eat what they've created once
they are done. A simple kids recipe is Peanut Butter Play dough. The ingredients
you will need are; 1 cup of peanut butter, 1 tablespoon of Honey, and a
little powdered dry milk. Mix the peanut butter and honey together, letting
your child stir the ingredients. Shake in enough dry milk powder until
the dough is slightly stiff. Your children can now shape the play dough
with their hands, it’s that simple. Add some other edible goodies
to make characters, such as raisins for eyes and a chocolate chip nose.
Most people think that slurpees take special ingredients. Enjoy this easy
kids recipe with your child by putting 1 tray of ice cubes into a blender
and blending till they are crushed. Now add juice or soda, blend again
and there it is, your special family slurpee. Another blender made drink
is a slushie. Add 8 cold strawberries, 2 bananas, a seedless orange and
1 cup of apple juice. Mix this in the blender and enjoy!
Dad can become involved with his children in the kitchen. Dads can create
their own kids recipes for their children. Then sit down and enjoy each
others company around the kitchen table. This benefits everyone. Researchers
have found that children who eat with the family improve in school and
have a higher self esteem. They've also found that children who spend time
in the kitchen with their parents often have a larger or improved vocabulary.
There are many benefits to cooking with kids. Get creative and start some
family traditions of your own using kids recipes.
